Academic Assessment System

Students are academically assessed throughout the semester according to an integrated assessment system designed to measure their understanding of the course content, ability to apply knowledge, participation, and commitment to academic assignments.

First: Course Assessment

The total grade for each course is 100 marks.

50% of the total grade is allocated to the final written examination.

50% of the total grade is allocated to coursework, distributed according to the nature of the course:

Courses that include a practical examination:

30% for coursework, activities, and continuous assessments.

20% for the practical examination.

50% for the final written examination.

Courses that do not include a practical examination:

30% for the midterm examination.

20% for participation, assignments, and activities determined by the course instructor.

50% for the final written examination.

Second: Graduation Project Assessment

The graduation project is assessed through a set of components designed to evaluate the quality of the project, as well as the student’s ability to present and discuss their work, as follows:

30% Supervisor’s Assessment.

30% Oral Presentation and Project Discussion.

40% Final Report submitted to the Examination Committee.

This assessment system provides a comprehensive evaluation of students, combining academic knowledge, practical skills, active participation, and the ability to present, analyze, and discuss their work.
